The chart is the supplied candlestick stock chart.

I created a text box which I wanted to move with a particular candlestick high. This is how I did it:

1) Create the text box and copy.
2) Select the "Hi" series and then the particular candlestick, i.e. point.
3) Then Paste.

The TB moves with the candlestick point, however, the text box cannot be selected. I cannot be edited, moved, deleted. The only way to delete it is to backstep.

This is a great way to attach stuff to chart points, so I must be missing something, right?

Any help would sure be appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Tom

Found out what was happening:

First, the candlestick plot format had nothing to do with it as I expected - it was simply the selection of a point on a curve.

When you click the curve, then the point, one might say you have selected the point.

If you right click, you have no Copy/Paste abilities which would really make no sense anyway.

However, if you have something in the clipboard like a text box, and you hit ctrl-v, you actually replace the marker graphics with that object(!)

If you look closely, the marker is gone at that point.

So imagine trying to click on that text box! (Maybe this would be a great way to impress your friends and drive them nutz!)

So to get rid of it, simply specify No Markers for the entire curve and it will be gone.

Of course, now, how to use the functionality for Good and not Evil!

Regards,
Tom
