Excel 2002 vs. Excel 2000 discrepancy...running macro from closed book

I wonder if any of you have encountered this dilemma. I am programming in Excel 2000 for an Excel 2002 user. A macro I have written intentionally closes the workbook that initiated it before the macro ends. In 2000, this causes no problems but in 2002, the macro ends prematurely. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
