In an excel 2000 sheet all the numbers after the decimal(cents) are being miss calculated, does anyone have any suggestion as so what we can try to rectify this?

Can you show the formula you are using?

If the numbers are the result of another formula, is it possible that it is the formatting - if you format 99.991 and 99.998 to 2 decimals, you will get 99.99 and 100.00 respectively. It looks wrong, but if you add them up, they will still be correct.

More data please!

I agree with SimonDavis. What it sounds like is the forumla is set to round up or down. Anything before .95 would be .90 and anything after .95 would be 1.00. You can set the rounding feature in excel and you can also turn it off through your options menu.

Hope this helped

I think you both are right about the rounding. I went to tools, options, calculations, checked precision and the values that were rounded up example:86.71 2,678.91
84.21 2,594.71
the 2,594.71 was changed to 2.594.70.
I couldn't find any options that specifically mentioned rounding but the precision option seemed to work.
Does this sound correct to you it seemed to work.
Thank you for your help, it was greatly appreciated!
