EXCEL 2000 HELP! Copy from a column to a row 3

I need help!! I am trying to copy (horizontal) a row of values and past them (vertical) in a column of cells.

This is what I am doing:

Copy money values from this format.....

spreadsheet 1
GAME DATE1 DATE2 DATE3 DATE4
Bingo $100 $200 $300 $400
Blackjack $500 $600 $700 $800

Paste to this format:

spreadsheet 2
DATES BINGO BLACKJACK
Date1 $100 $500
Date2 $200 $600
Date3 $300 $700
Date4 $400 $800

2. Paste special.
3. check Transpose.
4. click ok
