Excel 2000 formulas 1

Actually, this is more than just the formulas. In Excel, the column headings that are usually A,B,C... are listed as 1,2,3... When I click on a cell, it displays as R1C1 (what is normally A1). This also boils over onto any formulas I wish to have. To sum A1:A3 in A4, my formula would look like =SUM(R[-3]C:R[-1]C).

Any ideas?

In Excel, go to Tools...Options. Click on the General tab. Deselect the checkbox that says "R1C1 reference style".
