The cursor (arrow) keys on my keyboard in Excel only allow movemet of the selected cell either up or down. The left and right direction keys do not allow movement of the selected cell but seem to have completely different functions allocated to them.
Any idea how I change this back to normal cell left and right function?
Many Thanks.

What are the left & right arrow keys doing?

Hi John,

The left key gives me 'Save As' and the right key jumps 34 cells DOWN!

My first thought was that perhaps another key was 'stuck' on*. But I don't know what button(s) could be used in conjunction with the left & right arrow to produce that behavior!

Short of someone somehow remapping the keys to play a joke on you, I don't know what's going on.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. Maybe someone else has an answer...

*I've seen this happen many times with one of the <Ctrl> buttons. The computer sees the button as being pressed all the time. Generally just giving both <Ctrl>s a nice hard tap clears it up, at least for a while.
