Excel 2000 Copy or Move error

If you right-click on a sheet and select to 'Move or Copy...' the following error occurs...

Path/File access error: '\VB145.tmp'

OK Help

Has anyone seen this error before... It happens with all spreadsheets.

Obvious things: Have you got write access to your TEMP folder? Have you got a temp folder? (go to DOS and type "echo %temp%&quot

I've seen a number of problems with right-click functions disappearing or failing in Office XP. Might be a detect and repair job or a reinstall.

I will give the re-install a go, as all obvious things were previously checked.

Another possibility: you may be trying to edit a file that is an attachment to an email. That is why it is looking in a path that includes .tmp files.
If so, save the file first, to your HD, then open it from there and try again.
