Am trying to retrieve data from an Oracle 7.3 server directly into Excel.
Have tried using the manual method (Data,Get External Data,New Database Query...) but the Oracle drivers are not listed in the subsequent wizard input boxes and the MS odbc drivers for Oracle (which are visible) don't work.
Likewise with "SQL.Request".
Have also tried using the QueryTables object Connection property with similar results.
The Oracle drivers are installed on my system and are visible in odbcadm (in fact, they're being used in another app. and it works fine).
Would really like to fully automate this to make it available to non-technical users.
Any ideas?
