I have a spreadsheet that can be read by all Excel 97 users, but Excel 2000 users show the calcualtion cells returning #NAME?.

Here is one of the equations:

=IF(H19<1,"",(G19*L19))

This works fin in 97. But 2000 can't seem to handle it.

2000 is set to accept labels in formulas. Is there some translator or add-on installed in 97 that isn't installed in 2000?

Hanson, methinks perhaps you've got something wrong somewhere else. YOur formula is just fine.

What happens if you choose Tools-Addins and check the Analysis Toolpack (not the VBA one), and close and reopen the file?

Same problem?

#NAME means you're using a bad reference in the formula, either to a bad cell reference, non-existent named range, or something like that. And you're not. Anne Troy

I installed the add-in you suggested and viola!

Worked like a charm.

I love this board.
