Recently updated some computers to Windows 2000 and Office 2000. In Excel we open a spreadsheet and attempt to perform the edit query function. When we click on the edit query button, nothing happens. However, if we do click on the refresh table button first and then click on the edit query button, we are now connected to the database and everything works. We tried reinstalling the Office Tools. Anyone know?

Excel 2000 can not edit query 1

Try Tools-Options, Calculations tab. "Update remote references" should be checked I think. Also, have calculation set to auto. Not sure at all, but it sounds like it's not updating your links automatically.
