Trying to understand the impact of the field "# Times Exceed BW Hit Today" when you status "ip-network-region x". Do callers notice anything? If it is bad...no one is complaining!

You have a maximum number of calls or kilobits you've administered between network regions. When you hit that maximum number, CM doesn't set up IP calls between those network regions anymore. You may have IGAR administered - which uses non-IP PSTN trunks as a secondary means of connecting those calls - PRIs with a specific DID for IGAR, and each network region has a DID assigned for that feature. In that case, maybe the calls connected just fine and noone was the wiser that it wasn't over IP.
Else, the call dropped, or if it was like in a core/branch scenario, maybe CM sent the call to coverage/voicemail if it didn't have enough bandwidth to set up the call to the far end at the branch.

Thanks. The region had 20 hits for exceeding bandwidth but the IGAR column shows 0/0. If IGAR were used, that would increment, yes?

Yes, and you would have in the concerned IP network regions, on page 2, a LDN number setup for those IGAR calls to use the PSTN, and in the later pages where you define connectivity between regions, the last column for IGAR would have to be Y.

But depending on your architecture, it could mean a call went to voicemail instead of ringing a set, or went out the PRI on site instead of a core SIP trunk group.

Our IGAR is set up to use PSTN when bandwidth is exceeded. We are working towards removing PRIs because we are now using SIP (the 2 SIP trunk groups / primary & secondary) are set up now as points 1/2 respectively for IGAR. I understand where the calls goes...just trying to understand when the bandwidth is "exceeded", then I expected the last column to show something other than 0/0. Thanks again.
