I am sorry, but I need answers to these. Not much time to do research. Please help.

1)Set up web project to use MS Visual Source Safe for version control from Visual InterDev development environment. IIS guest account (IUSR_ComputerName) must not be able to check in and out files. (pick 2)

bEInstall Visual Source Safe on each client
cEWeb application files on NTFS partition
dEChange IUSR_ComputerName to name of project member
eEEnable basic authentication on web server

2) Most hits on your site direct to specific page via search-engine and not via index.htm. Navigation?
aEDesign navbar based on sibling pages
bEDesign navbar based on search engine
cEFrameset, navigation buttons in one frame
dERow of global navigation buttons on top of every page

3) Set up web project to use MS Visual Source Safe for version control from Visual InterDev development environment. IIS guest account (IUSR_ComputerName) must not be able to check in and out files. (pick 2)
aERemove Everyone group
bEInstall Visual Source Safe on each client
cEWeb application files on NTFS partition
dEChange IUSR_ComputerName to name of project member
eEEnable basic authentication on web server

4) Web application will be deployed on mirrored servers. Want to maintain session state.
aEMaintain all session state on client computer by cookies
bEMaintain application state on client computer
cEMaintain application state on the server
dEMaintain session state on the client in a desktop database

Q1 and Q3 are the same. Probable answers are c and e, though you would also need to change the IUSR_ to read-only (iether at project level or using file explorer on the server) - it also helps to enable nt authentication, not just basic.

Q2. Who knows? Try d (i.e. a link/button is always available to take you back to the home/index page).

Q4. I guess that a) makes the most sense but,
b) is very similar - and could imply both cookies and query-string passing which is fine.
c) you could with .NET, but IIS4/5 cannot split the session engine from the associated server - so not a good idea.
d) Cannot guarantee that you could use a desktop database on the client. (So this is probably the answer!!) (Content Management)
