How do I change the defautl location where the Private Information Store stores mailboxes? Right now it is on the "M" drive. I need to have it on a larger partition. I'v already moved the T-logs and the databases but the mailboxes are still getting stored on the M drive.

Ok.. then how can I confirm where this "virtual" space is coming from? Is it part of the C drive or is it part of one of the other partitions? Basically, I want it to NOT be part of the C drive. C drive is for OS and is only 8GB.

Open System Manager, expand Administrative Groups, First Administrative Group, Servers, <Your_Exchange_Server> , First Storage Group, and Right Click on Mailbox Store <Your_Exchange_Server>, choose Properties, and go to the Database Tab. Click Browse to change the location.

You cant move it period, it'd not affecting your c drive in any way shape or form, just mirrors the size. 01110000

Just to clarify AnnTi, Jaksen is right about the M: drive. Don't touch it. My previous post to you was under the assumption that the actual IS databases are not on the M: drive, but rather on a local drive, which you can check by going thru the steps I posted...

Ok.excellent.. you guys just saved me a huge amount of stress. Thank you, thank you, thank you...
