One of my users has an Evo 510 minitower convertible that all of the sudden will not boot into windows.
We're using Win98 still and apparently the day before this same PC was working just fine.
I went to the BIOS (after waiting 10 minutes to get there!) to run the IDP self-test only to find that it was no longer under Storage. In fact, it's not on there at all. So I thought right away maybe the HDD died.
But when I switched the cables between the HDD and CD-ROM I was actually able to boot up and even log into the network. But as I went to shut down it froze on me and went right back to dragging butt again.
Anyone familiar with this sort of issue?
