I have 2 servers with Novell Netware Small Business 6.0 installed.
Server 1:
Netware 6.0 with Service pack 3
Groupwise 6.0 Service pack 4
NDPS
DNS Service
NSS Volumes
Server 2:
Netware 6.0 with Service pack 3
Caminosoft Standby server
Arcserve v9
NSS Volumes
De second server is the standby server.
My problem is that the mainserver, after the backup, often 'hangs'. This
accurs when the tape is rewinding and someone accesses the network.
On the internet I have seen messages that the cause of this is the switching
to protecting mode. I have loaded DOSFAT.NSS to prevent this.
After I have loaded this module the problem is much less, but it stil
exists.
The utlilization is stil high after the rewind of the tape is completed and
that a client has requisted data from the network. The utilization of the
server doesn't drop then after the rewind is completed.
This is killing me, the only thing I can do is reboot the server.
Does anyone know a solution for this.
I have adjusted the CDBE flush time to the maximum, but the problem stil
exists.
Please help me,
Wim van de Kruijs
