Hi,
I have a Windows Xp os and the problem is that when I start the computer, its giving a msg like unable to recognize windows and not entering into windows and everything in the system is disabled - Key board, Floppy drive and even CD rom. Due to this, I couldnt boot it with a floppy or a cd.. Does anyone know how to stabilize my system? Pls help me. Thanks.

I think you need to write down and post again exactly the error message you are receiving.

ERROR LOADING THE OPERATING SYSTEM is the actual msg being shown. And everything is getting disabled. Could it be bcoz of virus?

You can fool around with this particular error until you just want to die.

If your BIOS boot order for devices is correct, then there is one thing you can try, but for this particular error I am not optomistic:

. Boot from the XP CD, and enter Recovery Console.
Type:
fixmbr

If you receive an error message that the MBR is invalid, stop right there. The only sane resolution to the issue would be:

. Download from the website of your hard disk manufacturer their setup/diagnostic disk. You need to do a low-level format or other option that zero byte writes to the starting sectors of your hard drive. There are freeware third-party tools you could use as well:
. Reinstall XP as a clean installation.

I think its gonna be a bit problematic. I can boot from the Xp CD but as I already said, floppy drive, cd and key board are disabled. Will try to re-format and install Xp again.
