Problem with the FBI/NIPC advisory is that its, well, wrong... It tells you to disable a service that actually is disabled by default... I forget which is the correct service to disable, but I'll try to find it when I get to an xp box.
There was also a new hole in all NT based systems (nt/2k/xp) as of last week, so be sure to run win update.

Ah, correcting myself. It isn't disabled by default, but it isn't started by default. It was set to manual.
