Somehow I managed to cause all new and old images that I open in PS6 to be opened with a single slice already showing. Anyone know how to turn this off or hide it? It might have happened when I closed an image that I sent to ImageReady from PS6 without saving it or sending it back to PS 6...any suggestions?

Every new image opens with a slice already there...

Yes all files do that if you have the slices turned on so you can see them. Two ways to turn them off. Temporary way is ctrl+H (hide) which will hide your slices, guides, and selections... or you can go to View>Show>Slices (make sure slices is unchecked).
That's all their is to it. BTW it probably was Imageready that did it.
