I have this problem where I may change something like install a driver then when I reboot it says that trying to go on files when the volume does not exist(This is after the network enter the password bit). Something is not mounted and I have to turn my computer off and then restart to get things working.

Are you on a network? This is a symptom of network cards not communicating well. But depending on the exact error message it can be a hard drive not coming up fast enough to be recognized at boot.
So the potential solutions are dependent on which type of problem you have. Ed Fair

I have network card but am not on a network at present. Maybe your first idea is a solution it doesn't always happen its just seems to be when I'm updating things.

If you're not on a network then it can't be trying to point to something external. Can be from a failed install of something, where it was intending to create a directory but failed. Seems to be a registry error of some sort, but correction will require more info than is available now. Time for you to start writing down file names , folder names, and exact error message. Will also need some details of what OS and programs. Several people in the forum have more experience than me with registry ops and I am sure one of them will pick up on this. Ed Fair

Okay thanks
I haven't recieved the message again. So everything is okay? I hope. But if I do get the message again I will write down the problems.

Thanks
