Easy One hopefullY!!

I have a number of dsum functions on a form that a while to calculate, i want to display an hourglass whilst it finishes calculating, however I am not sure whihc events to use

Any ideas??

Thanks

Dan

I am not sure, but I think if you have set the record source to the Dsum calculation, changing the pointer to an hourglass could be difficult. One way which might work would be to set the hourglass on form load, & then set it back to a normal pointer once a specific control has the focus (i.e. the control at tab position 0, which should get the focus when calculations have finsihed) James Goodman

Orthanagonal response.

Dump the dsums. Generate the summary values with simple queries and join these in a recordset.
