Events guide help wanted please

I am trying to create an events guide.

I would like a calendar which defaults to current month and year and has a text hyperlink (subject) on the correct date to the detail page also a selector to select the month and year.

I have tested various code from diffrent sources on the net but they have no support so that is my aim if possible please.

I am using UD4 not MX if it makes a diffrence.

try the final two chapters in the book Sams teach yourself PHP in 24 hours- it has pretty much what you are after in a step by step walk through, should be easy to adapt to what you want. Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..
