The app event log on our Exchange 2003 Enterprise server is registering event 9661 for the MSExchangeIS service, with the following description:
The Unsolicited Commercial Email default filter level has been updated. The new value is 8.
The problem is that we haven't installed the Intelligent Message Filter on our server, and (according to the MS Help And Support link) these events should only
be generated when the IMF is installed. Any idea where these are coming from?
We are seeing this error along with errors 9095 - "The MAD Monitoring thread is initializing." and
9096 - "The MAD Monitoring thread is initialized."
All 3 errors began just after midnight and occur 1-2 times per minute and is causing our Exchange Server to run slow.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
