eventlog log is full

Hy I have one server NT 4 with exchange 5.5. The server show this message "eventlog log is full"
Two days ago we received this email:

You have two problems.

1: The event log has so many messages in it that the log file size is exceeded. Click Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, then Event Viewer.
When you open the Event Viewer you will see lots of messages, you will have to see what is being repeated and go from there.

2: Your Exchange Server is allowing people (outside your business) to sent email through your Main Server to others outside your business.ie you can be used to spam or flood people with emails and you will get the blame! New Zealand, a great place to visit.
