This may be a idiot question but it's got me by the throat. I'm creating a flash mx movie where you read a page, hit a button, go on to the next page. What I want in looping in the background is a soundtrack. I want this soundtrack to run independantly of what the user imputs (button hits, ect) - sounds like an Event sound. BUT I want it to Stream so that I knock down load times.

As far as I can tell Event won't stream and Stream won't loop independantly... or am I missing something?

And since this will be geared for broadband only, maybe this is a non issue, maybe mp3s can load so fast now that streaming vs event is nolonger an issue.
Can anyone help out there? Is there an Event/stream combo?

You could check this fabulous sound tutorial, and dymically load, play and loop a streaming mp3...

You should be warned though, looping mp3s are rarely as seamless as .wav loops... So if you're talking about a short music loop, that could be a problem.

But you could also build a seperate .wav looping external movie, and simply load it on another level of your main movie.
