Event Viewer events not viewable . . .

Just like it says, I have a WIN2K Advanced Server and I cannot view any events in the even viewer. I can bring the Event Viewer up, no problem. In fact the MMC say that each log is a certain size and all . . . . but the events are invisible in the right pane. Weird. Any ideas? I doubt that it's this:

The log file sizes are not big at all, plus it's not just apps or security or any 1 event log. It's all of them.
