There is a access database that has been up and running in my department with no problem for over a year. Out of the blue the code behind the event procedures has started to disappear. When you look at the properties the event procedure is there but when you select it the code is gone. What would cause this? I have never expierenced this before and I have worked with access for over 15 years. Has anyone seen this before and if so how you stop it from occuring?

This could be corruption creeping in. Is this database split into a Frontend / Backend and does each user have a copy of the frontend on their own machine?

Thank you for responding.

I was told that it was originally split when it was first created and there were issues. It's still on a shared server and they only access it directly from the shared server. When they need to use it now they send out notification not to access it. If you try to access it you get the "locked out database is in use" message.

Sharing it from a network location is a SURE FIRE WAY to get corruption. EACH USER should have a copy of the frontend on their machine. I'll bet you have corruption going on.
