Event not showing up on server. 1

The event viewer is not showing any events on the server. How come this is happening?

I inherited this network.

Have you ensured that it is recording events via Local policy?

Is this a 2000 SP4 server? There is a bug that we have a hotfix for regarding event log corruption.

Try clearing the events (eventhough there's nothing). Stop/Start the service.

I updated a client's SBS 2000 to SP4 and also lost Event Viewer entries. I followed the suggestions in this thread, but to no avail. Where can I find the post-SP4 hotfix for this problem? (Didn't see it on MS SBS2K site.) Thanks.
