I have a Windows XP SP3 client that it getting these entries logged every ninety minutes or so.

I've checked all the threads on here and elsewhere and none of the suggestions work.

I've tried the following:

Upgraded to SP3
Unjoined from the domain, backed up profile, rejoined and copied parts of profile back
Used GPresults and GPOtool
Hardcoded username/password combos against the file, mail & print servers she connects to and also removed same
Updated Network card driver
Ensured there is a reverse DNS entry for the client

The DC can ping the client by name and IP address and visa versa

The client can physically browse to the Group policies folder on the DC

The client pc time is synchronising correctly with the DC

As a result of these errors, the user account becomes locked out 2/3 times a day

Can anyone help??

I've done that on the DC and ensured that EVERYONE has read permissions on the SYSVOL share

No such value exists on the client, so I assume it's the DC I need to do it on?

I havent restarted the DC since I made the change? I don't think I'd need to?

Thanks..

I added the user in question to the Administrators group

I restarted the DC

I logged her in this morning and all of the Group policy errors are gone.

There were no errors in the Event Viewer - all of the Security records were 'Success'

The user account became locked out again a short time ago for no apparent reason.

Any ideas?

I've just noticed that the user has been locked out twice this morning - both times seem to coincide with Group Policy being applied..

Has anyone seen this?

Quick update - no more Event log errors, but I've noticed that the account is getting locked exactly every 90 minutes.
