Hi all,

I used HP DL380G4 and windows NT 4.0 server. Recently, I check the event log. I found that there has been error “The device, \Device\ScsiPort1, did not respond within the timeout period”. I found that this server run normally but it appears this error twice this month. I’m afraid that one of harddisk has problem. How can I solve this problem?

Thanks,

Do you have any other SCSI devices connected? I have seen this occur on tape drives for instance. I doubt there is an issue since it odesn't happen often, but I would try running the HP SmartArray tool to see if there are any issues.

i did not connect other scsi device. I found that there is one of harddisk failed. However, after I change the harddisk, the error led of harddisk always on. The event 9 display in event viewer.

i don't know how to solve this problem?

I used HP DL380G3 and windows NT 4.0 server. I found that one of harddisk had failed. After I change the new one, the red light(failed status) of harddisk is on. So, I rebooted the server. It show the red light of this harddisk again.

I am afraid there has been problem of RAID card.
anyone get this situation before?

Thanks,
