I recently added a second Exchange Server and started migrating mailboxs so I can eventaually decommission it. It has seen better days. To configue IIS on the new Exchange Server I imported the IIS config from the first Exchange Server. I was told this was not a good way of confiuring IIS because it could cause problems. so I re-installed IIS. I had to re-install Exchange because outlook users stopped working with the new Server. After re-installing and restoring the database everything started working ok. Now I am logging a lot of event ID 9318 erors on the first Exchange Server and 9297 on the 2nd Exchange Server. I also have accumalating .dat files in the mtadata directory of the second Exchange Server. I have looked at a couple of KB articles on the errors but no resolution. I have attached an entry from both Servers.
