Hello

I want ask one question about Event ID 8003
because event viewer shows error about master browser
errorr but *net helpmsg 8003*show error information about file replication problem.

Thank you

Firstly this is not an 'important' Error message.

Nevertheless I do know how irritating these messages can be.

The cause here is a conflict. One machine (BDC) thinks it the Browser master, while a different machine ON A DIFFERNET SUBNET also thinks it’s the Browse master. Error 8003 is generated when one machine identifies the other as the impostor.

Browser masters simply keep a list of all the machine on the network, and are responsible for what you see if you type net view at the command prompt.

Solution: Some people say you stop this specific error by stopping your routers forwarding broadcasts on port 137 and 138.

Whilst not directly relevant here, I have been compiling a list of 800 error messages.
