Event ID 681problem

I am getting an Event ID 681 with error code 3221225572 on our server even though the account used is fine. The server is hosting FTP and Files. Here's what I have found so far.


File Sharing to domain pc's / accounts is fine

FTP fails and puts a 681 in the server event log unless you login as Domain\user or user@domain. just using username without domain and you cannot login. This is with machines logged onto the domain and no other problems with any other servers.

The Server in question is 2000 sp4 the server is not a DC.

Can anyone help ?
