Event id 3621 in Event log for Citrix

Hi,

I'm having a real problem with the below error that keeps being entered in the Event Log. It appears to be happening on all the servers in the Farm with no real explanation.

The Citrix MetaFrame Server failed to connect to the Data Store. Error -
IMA_RESULT_DBCONNECT_FAILURE The database is down or there is a network
failure.

Can someone please help me with this issue.

Ok lets start the ball rolling.

Where is your data store ? Access or SQL/Oracle etc.
Is it on Metaframe or stand alone.
Lan or WAN ?

My Datastore is on SQL and its on Lan. We have 15 Metaframe servers in the Farm

Hi,

Can you:-

Ping the Data Store Server that holdds the SQL database

Can the DSN connect successfully to the Database

Can you open Citrix Management Console on the Server (this I wouldn't expect!)

Sounds like your server or servers can't connect to the database.

It does not connect to anythg we have to reboot the server.

So it completely dies and although you can log onto the console, the network doesn't work! What errors are in the system/application logs?
