I used to have MOM installed on a server, this has temp been removed, however I still have the agent installed on another server. I am getting a lot of error messages on this server, in event viewer, relating to this (Event ID 21421. The script MOM agent service discovery has timed out or may be in a loop etc).
I am having a real problem with this. I can not log off/shut down the server (it hangs, I left it for 12 hours and it just displayed the logging off screen). I can not uninstall the MOM agent (hangs on preparing to remove) I can not stop the service, or change the startup/recovery options for MOM.exe. It just hangs after I press OK. and the service won't stop in the required time.
I am stuck. I have not used MOM before and am not aware of where the scripts etc are located. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this completely from the server?
The server is win2k3 and is just a file server.
