There are 2dcs on the network running windows server 2000.
I noticed that at 15minutes intervals, one of the dc which holds most of the fsmo roles was logging event id which refers to the licenseService. i checked this in the eventid.net and since it indicated connectivity, I performed dcdiag and netdiag on the two dcs and all test passed. I am wondering what is the problem.

Do you have some 3rd party software installed that uses a LicenseServer? I myself have a MicroFocus (Cobol) licenseservice running, but not on a DC, just on a simple stand alone server in the network. Borland tools are also known to need to have a license service running.
