I had my primary DC go down a few weeks ago. I had to seize fsmo control from this DC using ntdsutil and it all was a success. Well after the replacement was up for about a week, it began to have problems that made any service that it provided (Web, Printer and Database seem to be the hardest hit). No one could print to the server shared printer, no one could visit the site it hosted and that seemed to snowball. All of the admin tools like "Active Directory Users and Computers" and "DNS" couldn't write back to the directory so I rebooted. After the reboot, all is well for about another week and then it freaks out again. I ran "dcdiag" and it passed everything and I later ran "netdiag" and it too passed all tests. I also ran "ntfrsutl ds" and I have some (null) references in the output and I'm not sure where to fix these. I have followed countless links online but I still can't get the (null) references to go away and I'm sure that once I do, the problems will stop. Could someone help me out? Thanks, Jeremy

P.S. - I had the ntfrsutl output to into a log. Here is the url:

I did. I still have those null references though. It's wierd because it works great for a few days then craps on itself. I just can't seem to find out how to replace the proper null values. From my ntfrsutl, can you tell me what I'm supposed to give a value to? Thanks, Jeremy

Anyone else got any ideas? I tried those links but they were approaches I had already tried. I still have the null references in my ntfrsutl log. Also, I generated a Status Report from the Replication Monitor. Anyone know how to view it and fix the DELETED SERVER bits in there? Thanks, Jeremy
