Event ID 13508 Sysvol replication problems

There are 2 domain controllers on the network, DC1 AND DC2 AND DC1 holds all the 5 roles.
For some reason, there is no replication taking place between the 2 servers and is affecting the group policy.
However, I can ping both machines and browse but no replication
Any idea of how to resolve this issue.
