I don't think there is a serious problem if you believe these MSKB articles.

Event ID 1015 is logged in the Application log when you use the OHotFix program to install Office updates

I think I may have caused this problem myself by having the Outpost Firewall set to "Block All" while I installed the Office Updates which I did after downloading and saving them prior to the actual installing.
