Hello everyone,
I need again some feedback on the following site :
whenever possible.
What I need to know is :
-are there still artifacts in the images of the gallery on the Flash version (for PC viewers) ? (by artifacts I mean creases in the images etc)
-on the html version, does the gallery scroll automatically without any problems?
-do the rollovers on the bio page of the html version work without problems?
Voila, that's it. Unless you find other problems!
Thanks a lot for your time!!

Patricia

Hi pbb... the pictures in thye gallery look great to me... I don't see any creases if I fully understand what you are asking... in IE cable which is what I have at work. The gallery is scrolling automatically. The rollovers work good...although there is a 2 second delay or so. Downloads very quickly. Ya' Gotta Love It!:)X-)

the same for me over here..everything is working fine..

Flash perfect for me Patricia with no anomolies that I could see, although I don't remember giving you authorisation to use pictures of me in "passage" ;-)

HTML: all working well, although in your bio there's horizontal and vertical scrollbars for a very small length, just wondering if this is supposed to be like that? (using IE5 on PC, 1024*768px monitor and 800*600px monitor)

As always, very nice work!

Thanks so much Jeff, Virt and Monsieur Dave for taking the time to give me your feedback, I really appreciate it.
We had problems with the previous version, with some "creases" on some of the photos of the gallery (when viewed on PCs) and I'm really glad they seem to be gone.
However, I'm not sure I understand what's going on with the scrolling bars on the bio, Dave.... the image has a fixed size and no room for scrolling bars :-§
So, I have to check what could have gone wrong.
I'm wondering if Jeff and Virt also saw these scrolling bars. If it's not too much trouble could you guys tell me? Thanks!!
Dave, well, I did not ask for the authorization to use your photo in "Passage" because I did not think you would mind. Particularly since that very same piece got me an Award for Illustration and Graphic Design! :)
(oh! Noooo! Now he is going to ask for royalties!! ;-) )

Thanks again!!

Patricia

I am using netscape here at home...and yes...you do have scroll bars on the HTML version of the bio page. Ya' Gotta Love It!:)X-)

LOL yeah, cough-up! ;-)

I did a quick chcek og the Source on your HTML index page. It might make a difference to change the following section:

('bio.html','bio','scrollbars=yes','600','675','true')

I might be way off target, but it's a thought anyway.

ooops actually I understand that on a small screen it may need vertical scrolling.
However I still dont understand horizontal ones hm hm

But thanks a lot Jeff for your input

Patricia

('bio.html','bio','scrollbars=yes','600','675','true')

Yes, monsieur Dave, good idea. The problem if we do that (I assume you meant scrollbars=no?) in aol, the page won't display completely (at least aol for mac)

But merci beaucoup for your time monsieur Dave!
(Ok, I'll translate this for you Dave : "But thanks a lot for your time Mister Dave!" LOL! that was payback for the last "Patsy" :p )

P.

LOL

OK, would it make a difference to slightly increase the 600 and 675, thus denying the need for scrollbars?

hm hm we had tried that monsieur Dave, (had it first at 682, vertical) but then it was fine in the other browsers, but in aol, we could not have access to the last line of text... Hm... Horizontally we could reduce the margin cushions (now at 36), but vertically, I dont know what to do.... the problem is that here a lot of people do use aol...
But thanks beaucoup, beaucoup :)

Patricia,

nice work took about 2 seconds to load on a 56k modem connection. The graphics are nice and u look great in that picture. one comment, though, in the html version, you didn't have 800x600 resolution users in mind whenu made your bio page did you? 'coz im using both 800x600 and 1024x768 i can everything with 1024, but some popup windows were cut short in 800. just a thought though, nothing to fuss about. The scroll bars are tolerable.

sorry if im not much of a help.

biggie

yes i did see the scrolling bars on the html bio..hope this helps..

Biggie, thanks a lot for your feedback. I think we are going to have to redo that bio page... so that it's more widely viewable (this word does not exist I bet hm..) So thanks a lot for taking the time to look at it.

Virt, yes, your comment helped too. Thanks a lot.

:)

No probs here on my end.... The flash took forever to download (But I think it because I have stinking dial up instead of cable.. GGRRRRR)..... Pictures look great also... No creases or particals... Sorry I haven't wrote sooner but I've been kindof tied up (if you want to say that) But it looks real good you me... I like the way that you have the option to have html, flash page, or flash download.... Alot of people I know from work doesn't have flash and doesn't want it(for some odd reason)... But keep up the great work.....

BTW is that what you do? Paint Gorges pictures????

Hopefully I'll be back soon.... LOL I think I'm going to be stuck in court for a while...

I'm outa here........ (For now) Melocco.. Maybe Daisy after court.... LOL LOL

Daisy! Darrrrrrrling! LOL

Thanks so much for your input. I hope your court problem will be solved soon?
I dont know if what I do is paint "Gorges" pictures, since I do not know what "Gorges" means... In French it means "throat" or "breast" but I doubt that that's what you meant. But to answer your Q, I'm a graphic designer and digital artist. (and perhaps I paint "gorges" pictures, who knows LOL)
Sam, take care ok? and dont spend too much time in court....

P.

I can't spend to little time in court.... I know you heard what happened didn't you.. And no I didn't mean that... I meant to say beautiful or something like that.... Sorry about that...... The art work...Are they digital or paintings?? Again I'm sorry about that... Melocco......

Hello Sam,
Please, don't be so sorry! No need for that, really.
No, I did not hear about what happened to you... I've been pretty busy lately. Email me a little note and keep me posted. I hope nothing too serious....
The artwork is entirely digital (well, some of it is photographies that I take/scan and retouch)
Sam, take care of yourself ok? You've got me worried now

P.

Old,
Thanks for the "translation". Yes, now "gorgeous" seems like the obvious choice, but for some reason, I just could not see it in "gorges". So, thanks for enlightening me.

It's nice to see you again, I thought we were at war ;-)
