We are using HP EVA5000 in our establishment and all the harddisk are 300 GB with firmware hp01 now we want to upgrade the same diskgroup with 6 more harddisk firmware hp02. I think for adding the new harddisk we have to upgrade the firmware of the existing hard disk in the disk group. Can anybody explain how we can do that.

Hi,

upgrading firmware is a sensible operation, you have better let HP technician do it (firm level depends on serial number of disks, HP has a internal table for it).
No problem with 2 differents firmware level in the same disk group.
If you want anyway to upgrade yourself, the procedure is:
- download firmware from HP site (check disk type)
- with command view eva, hardware, select disk, "code load"
