Euro symbol doesn't print in emails

If I have an email that has the euro symbol in it and I try and print the
email, the symbol doesn' appear.

I am using GW 5.5.3, I have added the font to GroupWise and updated the
printer drivers and it has made no difference.

It will print out in Word and Excel and have had a friend try it using GW6
and that works.

Does this work in 5.5.4 and EP?
Any ideas?
