EURO pack - Red Hat 6.2 - has anyone got it working?

I downloaded the EURO pack so that I could have the Euro symbol on Red Hat desktops in several European (and American) languages.

I followed the instructions to the letter (give or take a little interpretation, since the guy who wrote them is French), but no Euro. I've e-mailed him, but so far no response.

Has anyone got this to work?

Upgrading to R/H 7.x is not currently an option. :-(
