I have been using for quite some time and originally had one email account to check. That account is automatically set up as the dominant account. I now have separate email addresses for personal and work and, consequently, have added some personalities to Eudora. My question: is there any way of changing the dominant personality? For example, the dominant is the original personal email account I have had for years but, on my work computer, I would like to make the business email address as the dominant one. Is there any easy way to do that?

Thanks.

Not really, what you have to do is to change all the details in the dominant account to match the account you want to be the dominant, delete the old account that has these settings then create another account with the details of the old dominant account.
Hope thats clear... reads a bit messy to me but can't think of another way to put it. All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.

Thanks--that's what I was afraid of. You would think someone would have created some plugin or macro that would interchange the dominant personality with one of the others.

Yes, always struck me as strange that you cannot do this, also you cannot rename the dominant or add to the name. All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.

I think you can accomplish some changes through the eudora.ini file (I was able to change the persona names this way). I suppose you can also accomplish the changes necessary to reassign the dominant by working with the same file. They should have made it easier. Eudora doesn't even acknowledge the possibility that one might want to alter their dominant personality (try finding this in any of their help files, pdf manuals, or even the support section of their website).

Yes, you can do it in the ini file, but its quicker to do it in the main app using the personality properties. Even in the ini file I don't believe you can rename the Dominant. All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.
