Following an Adobe Reader update, my Vista PC restarted. Eudora 7.1 was open at the time and was automatically closed. Upon reopening Eudora after the reboot, all messages from April 2009 to today were somehow deleted. I have several mailboxes in several folders, and everything in all locations is gone from that date until the present. I searched the PC for other mbx files, but no luck. I can still receive new e-mails and they go in the correct locations...but I can't get my old ones back. Any thoughts on how this may have happened and if there is any way to get them back? Thanks!!

noveyron...don't know what that is, but the problem has been solved. Vista's UAC was to blame. Here's how...%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore (paste that into the "Run" dialog, after WindowsKey+R). The missing mbx folders were moved there by Vista.
