Periodically I get an error message saying that my inbox needs to be rebuilt. In the past I have found that as long as I ignored this everything seemed OK, but if I let it be rebuilt I would lose messages from my inbox. So I ignored it for a while but finally it gave me no choice. After I asked for it to be rebuilt, I seem to have permanently lost the table of contents for the inbox, including the headings date/subject etc. But some or possibly all of the emails are still there, I just have to click on the empty line that now contains just a questionmark.
I downloaded the latest version of eudora (version 7) hoping it would fix this but it hasn't (though it has retained all my previous info.)
Also, when I try to download new messages now, the sound effect tells me they are being downloaded but they are not appearing in my inbox, even as blank headings!
How can I fix my inbox and prevent this happening again???
