Hi,

i just wonder why sometimes Eudora hangs when downloading an email. After a while a message will pop up "Eudora is tired of waiting...". And this is it.

My only chance: delete it with OWA so that Eudora can proceed and retrieve mails.

Does anybody know what could be the cause of this problem?

There is a setting in Eudora which prevents downloads of messages over a certain size. You might try to disable it.

Thank you jlockley.

I have used this option (40kB limit) for years. This is not the point. It just seems to be that eudora does not start downloading certain mails from the server and i can not find a clear pattern why this is the case.

For a while my Eudora would not download messages marked as read on web mail. This can be resolved by marking them as unread through the web interface.

You can go to tools>options and resent the time out on the network tab. Might help. How large are the attachments not being downloaded?

Actually, it does not seem to be related to any size any more. some days ago i could not download an email just due to an embedded link.

Removing that and resending it again, there was no problem any more.
