Eudora client to Solaris Mail Server connection problem.

I am having a problem sending mail from my windows pc using eudora 5.0 to a Solaris
8 mail server. I can download email messages, but when I try sending messages out I get a connection timeout error. Sendmail seems to be working fine on the Server its just not accepting the connection from the pc client. Can anyone help?
