Hey Folks,
I've had problems getting Eudora to work properly since installing 6.2 over 3.5 or whatever my last version was. Had to re format my hard drive and thought I'd go to a newer version. Wrong thinking.

Here's the message:

Message:
Out-of-date Table of Contents

and before I can rebuild I get an "illegal operation" and Eudora crashes. I had put all the emails into the Eudora directory when I tried to upgrade but they never were loaded into the new program like in previous new versions.

Anyone have any thoughts??

Dannie

P.S. Here's the code that results:

EUDORA caused an invalid page fault in
module EUDORA.EXE at 0177:004caf79.

Well, have you tried deleting the old <MailboxName>.toc (AKA table of contents) files? Eudora will automatically regenerate them from the headers in the <MailboxName>.mbx (AKA mailbox) files. It's the Qualcomm-approved solution to such issues.

Unfortunately, if the mbx files are corrupt, not the toc, this will cause the sudden loss of messages that appeared to be in the mailbox, as the new toc will reflect only the messages now on the server. In that case, you have to go back to a stored backup.

Good luck!
