Hey all - I have an EU24 attached to a 2420 hanging off a G450. Names were changed in the pbx but changes did not reflect on the EU24. Thought the EU24 took the DN info from the pbx. Did a busy/release on the 2420, tried reprogramming the keys on the EU24. Unplugged phone/plugged back in. Buttons work..i.e...calls the associated ext# but just the name remains as the previous user. Thoughts?

The names are not controlled by the PBX but by custom labeling on the station itself. Since it is digital it is stored in inaccessible translations (modified only at the phone set). IP Phones on the other hand will store these labels locally and backup to the BRURI specified to the phone.

Finally, how does the end user program the keys? Found nothing when googled.

I've always programmed them through Avaya Site Administration.

AvayaTier3 - I understand the 4621 can be do via ASA but my situation involves a digital set (2420). I also noticed the 4621 has "Expansion Module? n" programmed. I've never added a EU24 to an IP set. Is that accurate? Little misleading (not you...the prompt ;-) )

2420 will work, expansion module? y will add 24 buttons on page 6
