I am trying to connect an EU24 expansion module to a 2040 telset, and have programmed the buttons as DSS using the format 'user' and "name" as the telephone number. However, I get no display on the EU24, but the buttons do work as auto-dial, but not as BLF buttons. Am I missing something, or do I have a bad EU24 module?

Thanks, for the advice

franke,

eu24 expansion module will not work with 20xx series phones. it is designed to work only with 24xx series, and in fact, it is supported only by 2420 yet. do not be confused by the same first digit, 20xx and 24xx series are completely different and not interchangeable with each other.

dwalin,
thanks, that certainly solves the problem :)

If the EU24 module works with some keys then i suppose it is not a EU24 module.
Howmany keys does your module have?

VOiDDude- My fat finger typing error, it's connected to a 2420 telset, sorry.

intrigrant- the module has 24 buttons, which work, but no display is showing up on the module. I've used the above format on the 2420 set itself and it works and displays the name and status fine, so i've had the customer order a new module to see if that resolves the problem.

I will post the outcome

Thanks all

Franke,

Connect an IP Phone power supply between the IPO and the digital phone that is connected to the EU24. This will provide power to the EU24 so that the display works.

Bram,
Yup, got the power supply connected, still no display :-(

As far as I know EU24 is not supported yet, so that's why there is no display . Wait for V3.0 which is due April/May '05.

Will have to dig around but have seen a note that EU24's with certain batch numbers were found not to work with IP Office.

I think VanZenden has a point, the EU24 is not supported yet, wait for 3.0.

Well cwap :p

lol, maybe I can use a label maker and label the buttons until the 3.0 comes out. Guess they can take it up with the outfit they bought it from.

Thanks for all the helpful input, u folks are the best
